Stuff about Bill

Some stuff about Bill:

• I'm a transplant from Wilmington, DE. I grew up with snow, blizzards, and ice.
• I'm almost 40, and my birthday is on Halloween. Yes, I've heard every birthday-on-Halloween joke there is.
• I've lived in Spring Hill, Florida most of my life.
• I'm a Marine Corps Veteran, and I do a radio show on Tuesday evenings on a local AM radio show called "the Military Appreciation Show." I used to fix jet engines for CH-53 helicopters.
• I've been married to my wife for 18 years, and have 4 sons and 1 grandson.
• By day, I'm a systems administrator and PHP developer; by night, I'm either spending time with my wife/sons, watching the Lightning, or have a camera in my hand. Most of the time, I have a camera in my hand.
• I like to shoot anything, any time. Some for profit, some for fun, sometimes my body tells me to take a picture of something. If I'm not shooting something every day, I feel lost.
• I've been to a Zack Arias OneLight workshop - and it was awesome.
• I'm working on my portfolio - slowly - my current rendition is at http://www.BillTookThese.com
• I shoot a Canon 5D and Canon glass.
• I've got great friends who are awesome photographers - a few of which are participating - William Tillis and JR Hutchinson.

I like the idea of competing with others. In my opinion, it sparks creativity. I usually walk aimlessly with my camera around the inside / outside of my house looking for things to shoot, so this competition will give me a purpose.
