Ok .... I have had a few questions about this one so I am updating my post. Here is the unedited image SOOC (Straight out of camera.). As you can see it's a little under exposed. I don't actually mind this as the filters I apply will blow the image highlights if the image is spot on.
The background is my daughter sitting in long grass at a park. It's nicely blurred because I use a prime lens with a very low F Stop setting. The lower the setting = the blurrier the background. If you have a 50 or 35 mm prime just set to F2 or F2.2 and you'll get that lovely blur. (Photo nerds call it bokeh - pronounced bouquet.)
The actual metadata settings are.......
Lens = 50mm f1.4
1/800 at f1.6
ISO 200
Lastly - the glowing balls are a photoshop filter. Filter/Render/Lens Flare which was applied 5 times in different locations.
Be aware that before I was a photographer I was a graphic designer for 10 years so I really know photoshop inside and out.
she took my breath away. What a beautiful child and photo.

ReplyDeletecuuuuteness!!! Is the model family or was it customer shoot?
ReplyDeleteThis is my daughter. It was shot yesterday on the way to taking the kids to ride in the park. Half an hour later she was fanging around, still in her fairy costume & wings on her trike with a helmet on.
ReplyDeleteWow!
