Day 3: Mineral

Purple is my favorite color, so I have a natural affinity for amethysts. 

The reflections off the larger amethysts were initially bugging me,

but they grew on me, especially since my camera is partially reflected. 

Fun Fact for the day: 

The word amethyst comes from the Greek meaning "without drunkenness"

and amethyst is believed to protect one from poison.
