HELLO!!! Introducing... me ;)~

Hello & G'Day Mates:

I'm Amy and this is my second year doing the March Photo Challenge. I loved participating in 2010 and was excited to find that I was one of only seven photographers that made it until the end of the month. It was incredibly taxing, stretched my imagination, and gave me courage to try totally different pictures than my norm. Looking back now at the month, I can see my growth and progress - it still amazes me.

I've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember! Everyone that knows me, expects to see my "fourth child" (Nikon D90) with me out and about :)

This year, my goal is simple: Complete the Challenge. This is easier said than done. On the 21st, my family will be making a cross-world move from Perth, Western Australia, AUS to Oklahoma City, OK, USA. In less than one week, we will be in temporary housing, our life's possessions will be packed up for sea freight, and the waiting game will begin. My hope is to take at least five minutes a day to make time for my favorite hobby: photography!

In my past life, I was a high school teacher; however, now I work for my children - LOL! Being a stay-at-home mom is one of the hardest, yet most rewarding jobs I've ever had. Usually, my children are the objects of my photography: Lynsie (8), Logan (5), & Leila (3). On occasion, Chad (30-something), my husband of 12 years will let me get a shot of him, too! My family has a TON of personality and light up my life...
